Managed Rancher Service comes in two plans: ‘OVHcloud Edition’ and ‘Standard’, available on a pay-as-you-go basis. You will be billed based on the total number of vCPUs used in your downstream clusters. Keep in mind, a minimum of 20 vCPUs will be billed, even if you don’t end up using that many in your clusters.
A worker node is any node that has available computing capacity (labelled as ‘schedulable’ by Rancher). All so-called ‘schedulable’ nodes (along with their vCPUs) are therefore counted except for control plane nodes, which have a specific role and are labelled as ‘taint’. The customer agrees not to deploy workloads on nodes labelled as ‘non-schedulable’.

END OF LIFE ALERT (EOL): The Load Balancer for Managed Kubernetes Service is now at End of Sale (EoS) and End of Support (EoS), with End of Life (EoL) scheduled for July 2026. As a result, you are required to use the new Public Cloud Load Balancer for all your projects from now on. More information here.
