How do I access my SAP logs at OVHcloud?
To properly collect and send your SAP logs to the OVHcloud Logs Data Platform, you need to configure the operating system of your SAP environments (SUSE or RedHat) in order to use the SAP logs extraction and analysis feature. This process is automated (Ansible or Bash scripts provided), documented and carried out in just a few minutes.
Once the initial configuration is done, you can access all your SAP logs via the Logs Data Platform web interfaces (Graylog or OpenSearch Dashboards).
How do I analyse and use my SAP logs?
Once the initial configuration is done (see question above), you can start the one-off analysis. Type your query in the search bar, select server, log types, and keywords to search. Use dashboarding modules for regular analysis and visualisation.
We also offer a number of search templates and dashboards. You can use them as they are, or draw inspiration to duplicate and adapt these analysis methods to suit your needs.

Do I need to host my SAP environments at OVHcloud in order to outsource my SAP logs to them?
No, the feature requires the OVHcloud Logs Data Platform service, compatible with non-OVHcloud hosted applications. The only requirement is to have internet connectivity in your SAP environments. Outsourcing your critical SAP logs (Security Audit Logs) to a second sovereign location might be worth considering, as needed.
Which operating system can I use with OVHcloud for my SAP environments?
We offer a library of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) for SAP applications OS templates, so you can quickly get a natively optimised OS for your SAP applications. You can also import the OS template of your choice in Bring Your Own Licence (BYOL) mode.
Can I purchase my SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) for SAP applications OS licence from OVHcloud?
It will soon be possible to purchase your SLES for SAP applications OS licence from OVHcloud. Until this service is available, you can use your own OS licences in Bring Your Own Licence (BYOL) mode.
How do I back up my SAP HANA database with OVHcloud?
At OVHcloud, we offer our OVHcloud Backint Agent for SAP HANA databases, which allows you to natively back up your SAP HANA databases to S3 Object Storage. We also offer the Veeam Enterprise Plus solution, which is SAP HANA-compatible. Finally, if you already have a compatible backup solution, you can also deploy it with OVHcloud.
