Email hosting

With OVHcloud as your business email solution, you can choose from a range of solutions for all budgets. Whether you’re new to web hosting or an expert, our managed solutions will save you time. You are hosted on protected solutions that respect your data (GDPR) so you retain control and sovereignty.

This refers to both the technology and the hardware that hosts your mailbox. For example, a personal email account is hosted on this solution type. The user is still provided with a standard mailbox, but with superior features and capabilities. Generally, these email accounts come with a web hosting plan. Everything is linked to your domain name, which reflects your brand identity on the internet.

Here’s an example: If your company is called NuageCloud, you will have been able to create a domain: nuagecloud.com. With email hosting, you can link email addresses to this domain name that direct to different parts of your business (e.g. shop@nuagecloud.com, contact@nuagecloud.com). It also allows you to create email addresses for your employees, such as john.smith@nuagecloud.com.

There are two ways to host an email service.

• Group hosting (web hosting and email hosting). You don't need to manage your emails on a separate account, or pay extra for their hosting. We offer this solution with all of our web hosting plans.
• Dedicated email hosting. If you need more storage capacity, a bespoke service and extra features, this is the best solution. This way, you can get a personalised plan for yourself and your employees.

The email accounts created are hosted on our servers in our own datacentres. Depending on the plan you have chosen, you can select your email accounts to be hosted on shared, private or dedicated servers. You can also migrate your current email service to our datacentres using the OVHcloud Mail Migrator.

Each of our professional email solutions includes storage space allocated to each account for storing emails. For added security, we make daily backups of your data, so you can restore it if you need to. For example, if you deleted items such as emails, contacts, calendar events, or tasks, you can restore them up to 14 days after they were deleted.

To do this, choose the email solution in our range that is best suited to your business activity. You can manage and create your email addresses via your control panel. Please note that you must already have a domain name. You can create one with OVHcloud, and link it to your email solution in your Control Panel. You can then create your custom professional email addresses with your domain name and start using them.
