Servers for critical uses
The High Grade server range is flexible, and can be adapted to suit specific and critical workloads. These platforms have a very different design—they offer more computing power for hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), more storage for software-defined storage (SDS), and high-capacity disks for data storage and archiving. Choose from our range of solutions, and deploy a server that best meets your needs.
An advanced high-speed network
Smooth communication between your machines is essential. It is important to keep this in mind when you design your private cloud, or launch your cluster. Once you have enabled the OVHcloud Link Aggregation (OLA) feature, you get an internal, secure, and redundant network that can go up to 200 Gbps* for transferring data between your servers.
Availability, reliability and security
To give you optimal uptime for your business needs, our platforms include a redundant physical network (four redundant interfaces), a dual power supply, and disks that can be hot-swapped. The different types of SSDs (SAS, SATA and NVMe) can be replaced in the event of failure, without the need to reboot the server. Need more storage space? You can add one or more disks without any service interruptions.

Features of a High Grade server
Hardware
Additional storage space
With file storage solutions fully managed by OVHcloud, you get centralised, high-performance storage and backup spaces for your data.
Additional backup storage
Each of our dedicated servers has a 500 GB backup space for storing your data and configuration files. This space can be extended to or 10 TBfor larger volumes.
Enterprise File Storage
Enterprise File Storage is a NetApp ONTAP Select software-defined storage solution, managed by OVHcloud. Connect your OVHcloud services and critical business applications to a high-performance file storage service.
HA-NAS
A low-cost OpenZFS-based storage service, managed by OVHcloud, immediately available for Windows and/or Linux/UNIX applications that require a shared file system.
Veeam Enterprise Plus
Deploy your Veeam Backup & Replication platform, and use Enterprise Plus licences from OVHcloud to ensure backup, recovery, and replication for multiple strategic workloads—including VMware, Nutanix, Linux and Windows physical servers, or NAS storage.
Dual power supply (2xPSU)
Power supply is one of the key components guaranteeing an infrastructure’s availability. Depending on how critical your project is, a dual power supply is key to avoiding downtime. Service interruptions can prove costly in terms of both business and brand image.
Hot swap disks
The hot swap feature can be used to change or add disks without service interruptions, guaranteeing constant uptime for your services.
Software
Operating systems
Take your pick from a wide selection of licences, including AlmaLinux, CentOS, Debian, Fedora, Rocky Linux and Ubuntu.
Administration interfaces
Simplify your server management and automate your daily tasks with Plesk or cPanel. With one of these control panels on your dedicated server, you get an intuitive and powerful web interface.
Virtualisation
Deploy virtual machines by installing a virtualisation system on your physical server—Microsoft Hyper-V Server or Promox VE.
Database
Configure your database server by deploying the Microsoft SQL Server database management system.
Network
Network interface
Our High Grade servers are equipped with a four-port network interface of 25 Gbps each. This infrastructure is among the best in the market, and guarantees a stable, high-performance network. It ensures minimal latency and optimal performance, making it ideal for intensive workloads and data-intensive applications.
OVHcloud Link Aggregation
This feature maximises the availability of your dedicated servers. You can enable it on the OVHcloud Control Panel to group your public and private network links. This ensures service continuity, and a very high-bandwidth private network for your most critical applications and distributed systems.
Guaranteed public bandwidth of 10 Gbps guaranteed and unlimited
Our servers in Europe, the United States and Canada all have a guaranteed bandwidth of 10 Gbps, with unlimited and free ingress and egress traffic. In the Asia-Pacific region, the default bandwidth is 1 Gbps, with a monthly cap of 25 TB (included). Additional bandwidth and volume options are available on demand.
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
Each server has a public IPv4 address and an IPv6 address range. As an option, you can rent additional IPv4 addresses for your dedicated server (up to 256 per machine).
Anti-DDoS protection
To guarantee maximum security for your infrastructures, our anti-DDoS system is included with all OVHcloud dedicated servers.
vRack private network
Your server is delivered with our private physical network—the vRack. This means you can create your own cluster, or include your server in an existing infrastructure. This network is totally isolated from the internet, and is included at no extra cost.
Load Balancer
The OVHcloud Load Balancer distributes the traffic load on the IP addresses for your services hosted in our datacentres. You will need to use this option if you want to distribute your traffic across several servers (e.g. for an e-commerce website). You can also use it to detect unavailable servers, and redirect traffic to one or more functioning servers.
OVHcloud Connect
With OVHcloud Connect, you can link your network to your infrastructure in our datacentres. This high-speed private link is completely isolated from the public network, and perfectly secure.
Additional, guaranteed public bandwidth
Our dedicated servers have a default public bandwidth. Depending on your project’s resource requirements, you can choose an additional guaranteed bandwidth option. This ensures constant throughput for your incoming and outgoing traffic.
Additional IPs
As part of our Additional IP solution, additional IPv4 addresses can be transferred between OVHcloud servers (as a failover feature). This means you can keep them if you change or migrate your machine, use them to switch traffic if a service goes down, or switch projects from a development environment to a production environment. These IP addresses can also be geolocated in 14 countries.
Bring Your Own IP
With the IP address bringing service (BYOIP) provided by OVHcloud, you can bring your own public IPv4 address ranges and use them as additional IP blocks.
It is a simple way to ensure that your company’s public connectivity is maintained. This is especially the case when you migrate some or all of your services to the cloud.
Observability
Network Security Dashboard
From your Control Panel, you can directly access an interface that gives you a clear view of your server’s traffic. You can also view the anti-DDoS included with your solution.
Carbon Calculator
With the Carbon Calculator, you can generate monthly reports on your server’s energy usage, and assess its carbon footprint at different levels of detail.
SLA
Monthly SLA
All of the servers in the High Grade range have an SLA of 99,99%, guaranteeing you the best availability for your business applications.

Are High Grade servers certified?
Our high-end dedicated server offerings are certified to meet ISO 27001 standards, which means we implement strict data security protocols. Ensure the security of your and your customers’ data while accessing quality services around the world, without breaking the bank.
Which is the best server?
Your specific needs in terms of resources, performance, storage, and features will determine the best server for you. Depending on your plans, some dedicated server and web hosting plans may be more suitable than others.
What is the difference between a high-performance server and a standard server?
Each project is unique—not all of them require large amounts of resources, or specific features. While a standard server is usually enough to launch a website or application, other projects will require a high-performance server with a higher quality of service. Our premium servers are designed for all high-value projects that require increased performance, and resources that can meet growing needs. They are designed with the best components available for datacentres. They can also be equipped with very high volumes of RAM, several processors, and a multitude of different disks.
What is a premium server used for?
A premium server, also known as a top-range server, is designed for intensive resource usage, with high-volume workloads that require reliable, high-performance hardware. These uses include big data, machine learning, general artificial intelligence, and resource-intensive applications.
