Terms of use for the abuse form
OVHcloud has set up a form to allow for the reporting of illegal content or activities that are being distributed using the services provided to its customers.
1/ How do I report illegal content?
If you would like to report illegal content or activity perpetrated using OVHcloud services, you can do so:
- Via the form available at: https://www.ovhcloud.com/en-ca/abuse/, or
- By post to the following address: OVHcloud - Trust & Safety Team - 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France.
For your report to be considered valid, you must provide the following technical and legal elements to enable us to characterise and address the illegal content or activity:
- The location of the reported content, which may be a URL or an IP address.
You can obtain information about the hosting provider and/or the owner of the IP addresses, servers or websites using an online IP address or domain name search tool, commonly known as the “Who Is” service. - The legal basis, e.g. article XXX of law xx.
- A description of the infringement: You must provide a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you consider the content or activity to be unlawful. As this explanation is transferred to our client, you must not mention any confidential or personal information (including your name) that you do not want to give them access to. OVHcloud does not accept any responsibility for the use that may be made of the information you provide.
- The identity of the person making the report: this information may vary depending on your situation.
- If you are a natural person (individual): include your name and surname
- If you are a legal person (company, association, etc.): your company name and company type
- If you are a public authority: the authority name
- An email address to receive information on the outcome of your report. Single-use email addresses are not accepted.
- Declaration of good faith: we remind you that presenting content or activity as unlawful with the aim of obtaining its removal or stopping its dissemination, with the knowledge that this information is inaccurate, may be subject to legal action.
Reports that do not contain the above information will not be considered.
In the event of an imminent threat, please contact the competent authorities in your country immediately.
2/ How does OVHcloud handle your report?
- We will confirm receipt of your report by emailing the contact address you provided. As a security measure, you must validate the report by clicking on the link in the email.
- We ensure that your report is admissible, i.e. that we have all the information we need to process it.
- If your report meets these criteria, it is transferred to our customer to take the necessary corrective measures.
- Once the report has been processed, you will receive an email confirming that it has been resolved and closed.
