Repricing for existing services

Your questions answered

I have just received an email announcing a price change. Can I find out more about it?

This email is part of a campaign launched in August, via a blog article announcing and explaining the price changes planned by OVHcloud. In September, you also received a newsletter detailing the scale of the price changes for each product universe.
Depending on the solutions you have, in October we sent you one or more emails to notify you regarding the price changes for them.

Do you anticipate any other price changes?

We do not expect any further price changes in the coming months for the services listed. For other services, and/or if a partner increases their own pricing (e.g. licence or domain name), we will inform you via a specific communication.

I have a commitment for one or more months. When will the price changes apply?

We will maintain the initial price for your solutions that have a commitment. The old price will be applicable until the end of the commitment period. If you have chosen automatic renewal, the new price will be applied when you renew your subscription.

However, if you change your subscription option (e.g. duration change) after the new pricing is applied, the new discount will be calculated based on the new pricing in effect.

We would like to inform you that the renewal mechanism for the subscription option will change very soon. You will be sent a communication about this.

I used a special offer, promo code or deal when I placed my order. Will it still be valid after the price change ?

The discount linked to your product will still apply after the effective date of the price change, and it will be recalculated on the basis of the new price. It will remain applicable as specified in the special offer terms. For questions on commitment, please refer to the question dedicated to the topic in this FAQ.

I would like to upgrade my services before the price change is applied. How do I do this?

You can upgrade your services in line with their conditions, and you can do so with or without commitment. Our general terms and conditions apply. To do this, go to the OVHcloud Control Panel, or contact our technical support team.

How do I know which products are relevant to me in the list sent via email?

You can refer to your bills or the OVHcloud Control Panel to view the references of your active services.

You have announced an average increase of 10%. Why are increases higher for some new services?

The new prices include increases in costs other than energy price inflation: increases in IP address costs, increase in the price of certain licences included in the service, etc. For IPs, please read our dedicated blog post.

How and when does this price increase apply to Public Cloud services?

The on-demand billing model for Public Cloud requires a different timeframe for the price change. Prices will change on 01 November 2022 for all Public Cloud projects. You can view our dedicated FAQ here.
