The background
For over 25 years, Animalis, a leader in the French pet industry, has served pet owners through a fast growing network of stores and an online platform. The brand, which has been part of a South American group’s European expansion for several years, navigates the unique retail landscape of regular sales events, store openings, and weather-dependent customer visits. To stay ahead, Animalis aimed to provide teams with instant access to commercial and operational performance metrics, both in-store and online.

The challenge
Before this project, Animalis had no centralised tool for managing its activities. To better understand customer behaviour and enhance the analysis of both in-store and online sales, its teams needed access to key data (revenue, footfall, average cart value) in real time on a per-store and per-country basis. The goal was also to compare this data against projections and historical data. It needed a solution that was reliable, efficient, easy to maintain, and compatible with its existing infrastructure, particularly the Cegid cash register tool. The key was to quickly deploy an effective solution, as well as manage expenses and easily add new points of sale.

The solution
Using OVHcloud Data Platform, Animalis deployed a cross-device application in less than a month, accessible on both desktop and mobile. Today, all its employees can monitor sales, footfall, and average cart size via a live dashboard. Data from physical stores and the online store is automatically aggregated to ensure complete and transparent visibility. The process of adding new stores is largely automated and requires minimal technical effort.
