Which services are included in an SAP HANA on Private Cloud pack?
Our Starter Packs consist of 3 SAP HANA-certified HCI servers and HPE platform, equipped with Intel processors (minimum 3 servers, up to 64 servers per cluster) and the OVHcloud Managed VMware vSphere infrastructure (including two 3 TB data stores).
The SAP HANA on Private Cloud solution comes in various versions, including ‘OVHcloud Managed VMware vSphere, Hyperconverged Storage’ and ‘OVHcloud Managed VMware vSphere, Software-Defined Datacenter’, along with the necessary certifications (PCI DSS for banking and HDS for healthcare), as well as the SecNumCloud qualification for SAP HANA-certified HCI servers in a SecNumCloud-qualified Private Cloud environment.

VMware NSX Add-ons
VMware Software-Defined Networking (NSX) runs on virtual machines known as NSX Edge nodes.
By default, two NSX Edge M (medium) nodes are included and deployed in your environment for all ‘Network Security Virtualization’ and ‘Software-Defined Datacenter’ ranges.
You can resize and/or add NSX Edge nodes to suit your needs.

Your questions answered
What is the minimum number of servers (nodes) in an SAP HANA on Private Cloud pack?
On a vSAN technology base, OVHcloud requires a minimum of 3 operational nodes per cluster to meet the 99.95% SLA. This is the minimum amount supported in a SAP HANA vSAN framework. Although OVHcloud guarantees that faulty nodes will be replaced within an hour, it is safer to have 4 nodes per cluster to fully protect against data loss during a maintenance operation. This is also what SAP recommends in a productive SAP HANA environment.
Do I need to buy my VMware licences from OVHcloud?
VMware licences are included in the pricing for the OVHcloud SAP HANA on Private Cloud solution.
