1. Configure your dedicated server

   Before installing your Discord software, you’ll need to configure and launch your dedicated server. For step-by-step support, we recommend following our simple dedicated server setup guide. 2. Install the Discord software

   Now that your dedicated server is ready, it’s time to install Discord. Download the software from the Discord website and run the install files.
    

3. Launch your dedicated server

   Open Discord and click on the green “plus” symbol on the right menu. A window will open asking you to join or create a server. Choose “Create a server”. You’ll then be asked a series of questions – once you get to “Customise your server”, choose a name for your server and click “Create”. Your server is now ready to use. To customise your server, simply right-click on the server’s profile picture in the top right of the screen.
    

4. Create or deploy a Discord Bot

   To host a Discord Bot on a dedicated server, you’ll either need to launch a pre-programmed bot, or create a bot from scratch. To create a Discord Bot, you’ll need to understand a programming language such as Python or JavaScript. However, launching a pre-programmed bot is much easier. Simply visit a bot website such as top.gg or BotGhost or go directly to the bot’s own website. On the bot page, click “Invite” to link the Discord Bot to your server. You’ll be asked for your Discord login details, after which you’ll be able to add the bot to your server.
