When will the new prices apply ?

New pricing will take effect from November 1st, 00:00 AM CET. All active services in any of your Public Cloud projects from this date and time forward will be billed according to the updated pricing.

I have instances with monthly billing, when will the new prices apply?

Active instances with monthly billing in Public Cloud projects from November 1^st, 00:00 AM CET, will be billed according to the updated pricing.

Example: You have a B2-7 instance with monthly billing in a Public Cloud project. If this instance is active on November 1^st, 00:00 AM CET, the updated price of 24,2€ without VAT will apply. You will be invoiced upfront, and charged for this amount for service for entire month of November.

What steps do I need to take to assure that I will not be charged according to the updated pricing for instances that are billed monthly?

You must delete all instances with monthly billing from your Public Cloud projects before October 31st, 23:59 CET. If you start an instance with monthly billing anytime after November 1st, 00:00 AM CET, the service will be billed according to the updated pricing on a prorated basis.

Example: You start a B2-7 instance with monthly billing in a Public Cloud project on November 15^th. The amount you will be charged upfront for this service, is 24,2€/(15/30)=12,1€ without VAT as there are 30 days in the month of November.

I have an instance with Windows as the OS. Is the Microsoft license price being updated too?

No. The Microsoft license is not concerned with the pricing update. Only the cost of the VM is affected by the pricing update.

For example: Before November 1st, 2022, you were using a Windows C2-30 instance with monthly billing. You were paying 200€ / month without VAT. The new price for this service has been calculated as follows:
   •   Raw C2-30 instance with monthly billing = 137,5€ without VAT
   •   + Windows license = 75€ without VAT
   •   Which makes the total of the service Windows C2-30 instance with monthly billing = 212,5€ without VAT

I have stockage services, when will the new prices apply?

New pricing for– Block Storage, Object Storage, Cloud Archive, Volume Snapshot, or Instance Backup– will take effect from November 1st, 00:00 AM CET. All active stockage services from this date and time forward will be billed accordingly to the updated prices. Storage services are billed per GO/hour.

Example: You have 100 GO of Object Storage Standard (SWIFT) used in one of your Public Cloud projects on November 1^st, 00:00 AM CET. You add each hour of the month of November, 1GB in your service. The amount you will be charged for at the end of the month, considering November has 24 hours x 30 days = 720 hours is:

100GB x 0,011€/720

+ 101GB x 0,011€/720

+ 102GB x 0,011€/720

….

+ 820GB x 0,011€/720

= 5,067€ without VAT

What steps do I need to take to assure that I will not be charged with the updated pricing for stockage service that are billed monthly?

You must delete any stockage services from your Public Cloud projects before October 31st, 23:59 CET. Storage services started from November 1st, 00:00 AM CET, will be billed according to the new pricing. Before deleting any stockage service, we strongly recommend that you take proper action to recover or manage any important data.

I am using services with hourly or minute billing. When will the new prices apply?

Instances with hourly billing —Databases, Network Répartiteur de charge, Private Managed Registry, Data Processing, AI Notebooks, AI Training, ML Serving— are billed by the hour or minute of usage. Any service billed by the hour or minute that is active from November 1^st, 00:00 AM CET will be billed according to the new pricing.

Example: You are using a Plan Business DB1-7 Managed Databases For PostgreSQL in one of your Public Cloud projects. If the service is active on November 1^st, 00:00 AM CET, you will be billed for 0,172€ without VAT for the first hour of usage of the service. At the end of the month, if you have used 10 hours of this service, the amount you will be charged is for 10 hours X 0,172€ = 1,72€ without VAT

What steps do I need to take to assure that I will not be charged with the updated pricing for services with hourly or minute billing?

You must delete all service that are billed by the hour or minute from your Public Cloud projects before October 31st, 23:59 CET. If you start a service with with hourly or minute billing anytime after November 1st, 00:00 AM CET, the service will be billed according to the updated pricing. You will be billed for the total amount of hours or minutes of the service for the entire month.

Example: You start a Plan Business DB1-7 Managed Databases For PostgreSQL in one of your Public Cloud projects during the month of November, and you use it for 10 hours during the month. The amount you will be charged for is 10 hours X 0,172€ = 1,72€ without VAT

I purchased credit before the updated prices were communicated. What do I need to know?

Your credit remains available as usual and it can be used to regulate your monthly invoices. The only change is that from November 1st, 00:00 AM CET the updated pricing will take effect and active services in any existing Public Cloud projects, or any new services started from this date, will be billed according to the updated pricing.
