How do I choose between the different backup plans?
The Standard plan covers the essentials. Upgrade to the Advanced plan once you need longer retention (35 days instead of 14), immutability against ransomware or replication to a secondary site. The Premium plan adds long-term retention (GFS, up to 12 months) to meet your retention requirements. You choose the suitable plan for each, in just a few clicks.
Who manages the VBR, the licences and the Vaults?
OVHcloud, from end to end. We deploy and operate the VBR, manage the Veeam licences and provision a Vault based on OVHcloud Object Storage. You retain control over your backups and restores, with nothing to administer in terms of infrastructure.
How does the pricing work?
You pay an all-inclusive price per virtual machine and per month, with storage included. The price depends on the plan chosen (Standard, Advanced or Premium) and the size of the virtual machine. Each VM is billed for the entire month, at the highest plan level reached during that month.
Can I migrate from Veeam Managed Backup?
Yes. A dedicated path in your control panel allows you to continue your existing configurations or change them if needed. To find out more, consult our migration documentation. Veeam Managed Backup customers who protect SecNumCloud-qualified virtual machines will soon also be able to migrate to Managed Backup for VMware.
