We have been working closely with VMware for over 10 years to offer you the best solutions to meet your private cloud needs. We are very pleased to announce that we have updated the VMware on OVHcloud solution with a number of new features, all available as of 22 June 2023.
With VMware on OVHcloud, migrating your applications to the cloud, adopting cloud-native practices and even implementing a multi-cloud strategy has never been easier!
Migrate to the cloud without changing your habits
The VMware vSphere 7 platform is fully managed by us. Manage your infrastructures identically to your other private or shared VMware environments, while getting automated and scalable resources provided by OVHcloud in just a few minutes.
Increase efficiency and simplify operations with the VMware Aria Operations standalone IT operations management platform included in all of our offers (formerly vRealise Operations). Depending on your needs, you can also take advantage of VMware NSX technology to simply and easily manage the security of your networks or the performance and resilience of your VMware vSAN hyperconverged storage.
Finally, our backup and disaster recovery plan (DRP) solutions, based on Veeam and Zerto market standards, allow you to quickly achieve your security objectives.
Modernise your applications by adopting a cloud native approach at your own pace
To meet the expectations of developers, VMware on OVHcloud environments are compatible with the VMware Tanzu platform (TGK). By abstracting from the complexity of Kubernetes, Tanzu allows you to develop your applications faster by adopting the devops principles without neglecting security.
Enhance your VMware infrastructures with OVHcloud PaaS solutions (managed databases, storage, Managed Kubernetes Service, Data Processing and AI Notebook, AI Training and AI Deploy platforms) using vRack private network technology.
Maintain the highest level of security
With the VMware NSX-T component, you can deploy your security policy and rules seamlessly between your different VMware environments (on-premises, shared or on the cloud). Implementing micro-segmentation allows you to reduce lateral movement threats, such as ransomware. Finally, vSphere Native Key Provider (included) allows you to easily encrypt your virtual machines and your vSAN storage at rest.
The certification level for our VMware on OVHcloud solution is the highest in the world. In addition to the VMware Sovereign Cloud label and the ISO 27001 and SOC II Type 2 international certifications, our solution can meet regulatory requirements in the fields of healthcare (HDS) and finance (PCI DSS, PSEE). It is also SecNumCloud-qualified by the French National Cybersecurity Agency ANSSI, to meet even the most critical needs.
What’s more, the VMware on OVHcloud solution is equipped with an improved service level agreement (99.95% per Virtual Datacentre), and a guaranteed public bandwidth of up to 10 Gbit/s.

Your questions answered
How do I upgrade my VMware on OVHcloud service and get these new features?
There are several factors to consider first. If you have the Business or Enterprise support levels, the easiest way is to contact your account manager to discuss your situation and determine what the benefits of this migration would be.
Please note that if you use the NSX-V component, it will no longer be maintained by VMware as of 15 January 2024. Depending on your use case, you may need to migrate to new environments (Virtual Datacentres) with its replacement, NSX-T. The different use cases and migration scenarios are explained in our guides. Migration will be possible from 18 July 2023.
If you do not feel that you need the NSX-T component, you can remain on your current SDDC or Premier solution. Premier clients already benefit from vSphere 7-related features (encryption with vNKP and Tanzu with TKG), improved SLA (99.95%) and guaranteed 10 Gbit/s public bandwidth.
