OVHcloud MCP Server
OVHcloud MCP Server
Effortlessly manage your OVHcloud services in natural language using the OVHcloud MCP server. This standardised bridge lets you link your AI applications (models and agents) to your cloud infrastructure.
Usage
Remote MCP server, no installation required
Sign-in
OAuth2 (MCP standard)
Compatibility
You can use any client with MCP servers (Goose, OpenCode, OVHcloud SHAI, and IDE).
What is an MCP server?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard introduced in 2024. An MCP server provides tools and structured context to AI models in a standardised way.
It acts as a bridge between your AI applications (models or agents) and external data, tools, or APIs. This way, AI can securely and efficiently call these tools. Any MCP-compatible client can reliably connect to it.
Benefits
Manage OVHcloud services in natural language from your AI agents, IDEs, or applications.
OVHcloud and AI in natural language
Manage your OVHcloud account and services using natural language requests. This allows agents and models to understand your intentions and call the right tools.
Standard MCP Protocol
The server operates under the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and works with any client that supports remote MCP and OAuth2 authentication.
Multi-client integration
Use the MCP from SHAI or Goose, the integrated chat in VS Code and code agents (OpenCode) or directly in your applications (LangChain, LangChain4J).
OVHcloud specifications
An official MCP server for exposing OVHcloud services and account to AI applications.
OVHcloud services and infrastructure
The OVHcloud MCP server lets you manage your OVHcloud services and account – including instances, storage, network, containers, databases – via tools accessible to models.
Integrated with OVHcloud IAM
You can connect to the MCP server using the OAuth2 protocol, which enables you to leverage all the benefits of OVHcloud IAM, and assign only the necessary permissions to your AI.
How do I use the OVHcloud MCP?
Multiple MCP-compatible clients can connect to the OVHcloud server, via endpoints by region.

Integration examples
1. With OpenCode
OpenCode is a terminal code agent. Configure the MCP URL (eu/us/ca) in the settings, leaving the headers empty.
2. With Goose
Goose is an open-source AI agent (desktop, CLI, Web UI) compatible with multiple providers and MCP tools. Add the OVHcloud extension, and select the endpoint that matches your region.
3. With OVHcloud SHAI (≥ 0.1.5)
Create a custom agent with MCP: "$HOME/.config/shai/agents/ovh.config" file using the ".ovh.config" content. Then use the OVHcloud SHAI agent, which opens a browser window to the OVHcloud login page.

Your questions answered
What is Model Context Protocol (MCP)?
It’s an open standard that defines how AI applications receive context and tools from a server. The OVHcloud MCP server offers OVHcloud features to any compatible client.
Which clients can I use with the OVHcloud MCP?
Any client compatible with remote MCP and OAuth2: SHAI (OVHcloud agent), Goose, OpenCode, integrated chat in VS Code, or your own applications via LangChain, LangChain4J, etc.
How do I log in?
OVHcloud OAuth2 is used for authentication. A browser window will appear for you to log in, depending on the client you’re accessing, e.g., SHAI. The credentials are then used for MCP calls.
