When will the new prices apply ?

All services created, deployed, or used within your Public Cloud project(s) during the month of October 2022 will be billed at existing prices and the new pricing will not apply. If those services created in October 2022, are still active in November 2022, their usage will continue to be billed at existing pricing. Finally, if those services created in October 2022, are still active in December 2022, their usage will be billed starting December 1, 2022, with the new prices.

Note: From November 1, 2022, any new service started within your existing or new Public Cloud project(s) will have the new pricing applied. The usage of Public Cloud services during the month of November will be billed with our new prices and will appear on your December 2022 invoice.

I have instances with monthly billing, when will the new prices apply?

Instances with monthly billing, that are started within your Public Cloud project(s) or created during the month October 2022, will be billed with our existing prices for their usage for the month of October 2022. For their usage for the month of November 2022, the existing prices will continue to apply. If your instances with monthly billing are still active from December 1, 2022, the new prices will apply.

Note: If you start an instance with monthly billing after November 1, 2022, the new prices will apply.

What steps do I need to take to assure that I will not be charged according to the updated pricing for instances that are billed monthly?

For instances with monthly billing, that started in October 2022, you must delete them from your Public Cloud project(s) before November 30, 2022, 23:59 CET.

Note: If you start an instance with monthly billing any time after November 1, 2022, the service will be billed according to the updated pricing on a prorated basis.

I have storage services, when will the new prices apply?

Any storage service–Block Storage, Object Storage, Cloud Archive, Volume Snapshot, or Instance Backup–started in October 2022, will be billed with the existing pricing for their usage in October and if still active, will continue to be billed at the existing pricing for the month of November too. From December 1, 2022, 00:00 AM CET, all active storage services from this date and time forward will be billed accordingly to the updated prices. Storage services are billed per GB/hour.

Note: Any storage service started after November 1, 2022, will be billed with the new prices.

I am using services with hourly or minute billing. When will the new prices apply?

Instances with hourly billing—Databases, Network Load Balancer, Private Managed Registry, Data Processing, AI Notebooks, AI Training, ML Serving—are billed by the hour or minute of usage. Any service billed by the hour or minute started during the month of October 2022, will be billed with the existing prices for their usage for the month of October and if still active, for the month of November too. If any of these services is active on December 1, 2022, from this date and time forward will be billed accordingly to the updated prices.

Note: Any service billed per hour or per minute, started after November 1, 2022, will be billed with the new prices.
